Nice if true, don't know much about business insider though. If you can't see bar charts in email, click on link http://www.businessinsider.com/romney-economic-policies-middle-class-wealthy-income-1-percent-obama-2012-8 Two Terrifying Charts For Mitt Romney A new Pew Research Center report, entitled "The Lost Decade of the Middle Class," contains some disconcerting numbers for presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney as the campaign enters its final two-plus-month stretch. Two charts should be particularly worrisome for Romney as he tries to unseat President Barack Obama in this election. Here's the first: Romney Obama chart Pew Research Center Over the past couple days, Republicans have cried foul at former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's comment that Democrats should blame George W. Bush "forever." But the chart shows that people still do place more of the blame on Bush. The only group the middle class blames less than Obama, in fact, is themselves. The second chart relates more specifically to the Obama-Romney race: Obama Romney Pew It's pretty self-explanatory, but the stat is significant because the middle class has become a central focus of both presidential campaigns. The chart suggests that Obama's frequent attacks to paint Romney's policies as "out of touch" and wealthy-favoring are resonating with voters. The WSJ/NBC pollsters asked voters how confident they were that Romney "has the right set of goals and policies to improve the economy." A surprising 42 percent said they were "not at all confident," up 6 points from a month ago. For a candidate running his campaign on the basis of how President Barack Obama's economic policies have sunk the nation's economy further and how he would improve the economy, that's not a good sign. By the same token, 44 percent have no confidence in Obama's policies to fix the economy. But that means they're about even on this question, and there are other economic indicators that bode well for Obama. First, 50 percent of voters think the economy is recovering, which is about in line with the previous month. Moreover, there's an even split (46-46) between people saying they're more optimistic and less optimistic about the economic news they've heard in the past few weeks. Compare that number with last month: Only 37 percent said they were more optimistic, and 55 percent said they were less optimistic. So there has been an 18-point swing in just a month.
