Washington, D.C., August 24, 2012--The Impact Arts + Film Fund announced today that
the political satire, BUTTER has been added to its slate of films set to screen
at the Impact Film Festival 2012 for lawmakers, candidates and delegates at the
national political conventions. Post-screening panel discussions will feature members
of the creative community alongside policy makers and other issue experts during
the daytime hours of the convention, for lively and important discussions. The
Impact Film Festival launched at the 2008 Conventions and was called one of the
most successful innovations by the Los Angeles Times for its ability to connect
the artistry and urgency reflected in the films with leaders and citizens. Since
then, the organization has held the Impact Film Festival in Washington, D.C. as
well as dozens of screenings, literary and theater events.

"In 2008, we demonstrated the power of film to enlighten and educate on the critical
issues facing our nation's leaders, and that impact will be on full display once
again as Democrats and Republicans convene for the national conventions," said
Kimball Stroud, one of the Festival's three co-founders. "Our tagline is: "Where
Film Crosses the Aisle" as we're certain these films will rally leaders and citizens
attending both conventions to engage in nuanced discussions about the priorities
explored in these exceptional films."

A few of the other filmmakers, panelists and guests participating in the festival
include Kirby Dick, Amy Ziering, Eugene Jarecki, David France, Bennett Singer, North
Carolina Governor Bev Perdue, U.S. Representative Mike Turner, U.S. Representative
Jim McGovern, U.S. Representative Sam Farr and former Maryland Lt. Governor Kathleen
Kennedy Townsend, Share our Strength President Tom Nelson, Maria Cuomo Cole, Rock
the Vote President Heather Smith and Rear Admiral Susan Blumenthal, MD.

In addition to the screenings, at the RNC the Impact Film Festival is partnering
with Share our Strength for a late night party to help end childhood hunger on
Tuesday night featuring Governor Bob McDonnell, Jeff Bridges, national spokesperson
for Share our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign and celebrity chefs. At the DNC,
The Impact Film Festival will host a Kick-Off Party on Monday night with special
appearance by Jeff Bridges and a performance by The Honey Brothers featuring Adrian
Grenier, Andrew Vladeck, Ari Gold, D.S. Posner and Daniel Green. The Festival is
also hosting an "Artists Making an Impact" dinner celebrating Funny or Die.

on a road trip to see how voting works - and doesn't work - in America. He heads
to Indiana, home to some of the strictest election laws in the country, and meets
two feisty Hoosiers - Dee Dee Benkie (currently a member of the Republican National
Committee) and Mike Marshall (a former Democratic state representative) - who take
him inside their efforts to get out every vote. Irreverent, engaging, eye-opening

HUNGER HITS HOME examines the causes, complications and misconceptions about childhood
