With only 42 days left until the election, I don’t take this news lightly:
Our opponent Tom Smith is up on the air in a big way – outspending us across the Commonwealth and flooding TV sets with negative attack ads.

Smith’s counting on his millions to drown out the truth about his record as a "Tea Party guy." But even while he tells tall tales about Bob’s record on TV, Smith’s traveling around the state going to Tea Party rallies and promising to promote their agenda in Washington.

The last thing Pennsylvanians need is more divisive politics from Smith and his extremist allies in Washington. But with national Tea Party groups lending their financial support to one of their top Senate recruits – it’s going to take all of us together to fight back against the misrepresentations and partisan gamesmanship Smith’s spinning on TV.

We’re facing a critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline on September 30th and we need your help to reach our goal of raising $50,000 and ensure Bob has the resources to fight back against the attacks.

We know that Smith’s extreme agenda is just wrong for Pennsylvania. He’s lauded Paul Ryan’s radical budget that would end Medicare as we know it and supports a plan to privatize Social Security. Smith even favors tax breaks for millionaires while increasing taxes on Pennsylvanian middle class families.

But right now he’s winning the air war. With so little time left before the polls open on November 6th, we can’t afford to let this campaign’s momentum be stopped by our self-funding opponent’s unlimited spending on negative TV ads.

Critical undecided voters are starting to turn their attention to the race. Help ensure the right message reaches them.
