A small town just a few miles from the Ugandan border was attacked by South Sudanese government forces. Men were shot, some slaughtered, and two children were run over by a truck. People literally ran for their lives with just the clothes on their backs. When they crossed into Uganda they were hungry, without shelter, water or food. WFP was one of the first agencies on the ground to respond. What the staff did within those 24 hours is captured here - showing the tenacity and incredible compassion of those who work on the lifelines of the hunger and refugee crisis.
