Members of the Boards,

It has come to my attention that a number of you have been contacted by an
organization called Foreign Policy for America (FP4A), claiming an
affiliation with the Truman Project and/or involvement in an effort to "raise
funds to support Truman Project members who are running for office." They
have made a similar claim regarding one of our partner organizations, the
New Leaders Council (NLC).

This has led to some confusion, and a number of you have contacted us
seeking clarification.

While there are Truman members involved with FP4A, there is no affiliation
or partnership between FP4A and the Truman Project or NLC, and we are aware
of no effort by FP4A to provide financial support to Truman Project members
running for office. FP4A's use of the Truman Project brand to raise funds
or garner other support has been done without our knowledge or consent.

NLC President Mark Riddle and I are in contact with FP4A's Executive
Director regarding this matter.

I apologize for any confusion this may have caused, and am happy to discuss
this matter further with you at any time.
