<p>I hope that the practice ACT yesterday went well. We appreciate you taking the exam seriously and hope that it will be helpful as you think about which exam (ACT or SAT) best suits your learning style. </p>
<p>To provide another opportunity to think about which exam might be best for you, the College Counseling Office is collaborating with eleventh grade students on a standardized testing student panel that will take place on Monday, May 15 during ninth period (2:34 p.m. – 3:19 p.m.). While many of your parents attended a standardized testing informational evening in the fall, we would like to give you some additional information to help you think about your own individual testing plan. This meeting is for tenth grade students only. </p>
<p>The college counselors will start the panel by discussing some of the nuances of each test. From there, a student moderator will ask questions of eleventh graders to talk about why students chose each exam, some of the different timelines students have pursued, and different test preparation options. There will also be time for questions at the end. </p>
<p>Through this panel, we hope that you utilize the advice and experience of your peers to help you think about the best plan for you. Every student approaches the college process (including standardized testing) differently, but hearing from others can help you consider which approach will allow you the best chance for success. </p>
