A federal court has granted the Trump administration's request to pause the lawsuit against the EPA's Clean Power Plan while the agency works to repeal the rule.

The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals' decision makes it easier for President Donald Trump to repeal what had been the crown jewel of President Barack Obama's climate change agenda. The landmark rule sought to curb power plant carbon dioxide emissions 32 percent below 2005 levels by 2030.
