Dear everyone, Tonight’s Colbert Report will include a segment on the Census Bureau’s recent report showing the largest number of Americans living in poverty since the federal government started collecting these statistics in 1951. I am honored that they have asked for Save the Children’s perspective. I will be appearing on the show to talk with Colbert about the impact of poverty on our nation and on our children. *Our segment will be on tonight’s Colbert Report, which airs at 11:30PM ET/10:30 CT on Comedy Central. So watch it tonight or set your DVR!* If you want to read the Census Bureau report (which is very readable for a government report and has an excellent executive summary), you can download it here: http://bit.ly/9Mpt8A. Thank you, as always, for your support. I look forward to your feedback on the show and your thoughts about what we can do to continue to raise awareness of and find solutions for this crisis.
