** Gunman’s Girlfriend Meets FBI

Washington Post reports (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2017/10/04/investigators-question-girlfriend-of-las-vegas-shooter-seeking-to-probe-mind-of-shooter/?utm_term=.8ba5e7fd8200&utm_source=CSIS+All&utm_campaign=2fec793eab-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_10_04&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_f326fc46b6-2fec793eab-145367789) , authorities investigating the Las Vegas massacre turned Wednesday to the shooter’s girlfriend, hoping for more answers about the gunman and what may have sparked the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Western military and government officials of NATO member countries said Wednesday that Russia is exploiting a point of vulnerability for allied soldiers: their personal smartphones. The aim of the hacks may be to gain operational information, gauge troop strength, and intimidate soldiers, as the
