At no cost to you, we've teamed up with AutomaticTM to provide License+ to your family. License+ is a smart driving program designed to create a positive experience for new drivers and give parents peace of mind by helping keep teens safe.
The purpose of License+ is to help teens build safe driving habits in the first 100 hours of independent driving and beyond. Teens earn badges for mastering specific driving skills like smooth braking or highway driving, and for maintaining a high drive score throughout the program, they earn a bronze, silver or gold medal of completion.
Helpful Program Features
In addition to the License+ coaching tools, the program provides other safety features including:

24/7 Crash Alert - Offers assistance in the event of a serious collision by alerting local emergency services and notifying the driver's emergency contacts.

Drive Feedback Tones - A tone will sound to let teen drivers know when they brake too hard, accelerate too quickly or exceed a certain speed.

Vehicle Locator - Directs the driver to the location where the vehicle was last parked.
.
Decode Engine Problems - Receive easy-to-understand descriptions of issues related to the Check Engine Light.
With the support of a coach, new drivers can prove their skills while driving independently. License+ also gives parents the tools they need to stay connected, maintain an open dialogue and make it fun.
What Do We Need to Participate?
Your teen will need a smartphone to participate in the program. The Automatic and License+ apps are compatible with the iPhone 5 and above that run on operating systems iOS 8TM or higher, as well as AndroidTM phones using OS 4.0 or higher.
How Can We Earn Up to $75 in Amazon Rewards?
Try Automatic License+, and your teen will earn a $25 Amazon e-Gift card for participating.
As an added bonus, USAA is also offering all new drivers with an additional reward for completing the 100 hour License+ Program:
. Gold Medals receive a $50 Amazon eGift card
. Silver Medals receive a $20 Amazon eGift card
. Bronze Medals receive a $5 Amazon eGift card.

Do We Have to Participate in the Program?
Your participation is voluntary. Any information USAA receives is intended for safety purposes, not for adjusting rates or determining policy coverage.

What Happens After I Enroll?
Within a week, you'll receive an email from Automatic letting you know when to expect your License+ adapter. Once your adapter arrives, it will include easy instructions for downloading the Automatic and License+ apps on your teen's smartphone and installing the adapter in your teen's vehicle.
