I hope you are enjoying your week away from DC... It's been unusually hot, but if you're in AZ we have nothing on you. Just wanted update you on a couple of developments:
1) We met with Rome Aloise (Teamsters Western Region Pension Fund) on Wednesday night and he has expressed interest in mtg with you and Hunter as soon as we can put a mtg together. He mentioned that they have had particularly good luck w/ PE funds so we might want to discuss that. Looking forward, he is looking for a reason to be in NYC December 10th and 11th so we thought setting up a mtg or two for him on those dates might be a good thing for all of us.
Additionally, he told us that working through Jennifer (?) Newell in Biller's office is useless... They don't take new managers that way, it has to go through Rome and he's happy to make the link after we intro you and Hunter.
2) Jack Cipriani has set the table for us with the 2 NY Local union funds we discussed and a new PA fund. Chuck and I will contact them on Monday to set up mtgs. One question... Should we continue to discuss all 4 groups you represent or just Third Point and Millenium given our tenuous relationship w/ Third Point. Or just give a general overview for now and put "meat on the bone" in the in-person mtg? Let me know your thoughts.
