Forty five federal agencies and private organizations with available job opportunities were represented, including the U.S. State Department the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Sallie Mae, the U.S. Military, Comcast and TD Bank. Three on-site seminars were also held throughout the day on both the federal application process, as well as how to conduct a successful job search in a turbulent market. The SEC must end the current wild west environment of anything goes in the microsecond trading world and replace it with a sense that trading activity is being actively monitored and policed for illegal trading behavior, Ted wrote. He went on to say that the May 6 crash is "an historic moment for the Commission, a moment when it must fulfill its obligation as the steward for those investors who lack the clout of Wall Streets largest financial players." He talked with leading energy researchers, toured the wind turbine facility at the University of Delawares Lewes campus, visited a company conducting carbon capture research, and toured a modular carpet recycling plant, the first of its kind in the country. With the Senate back in session, Ted hopes to continue to help put America on the path to a clean energy economy.
