Thanks to all who have given $50 for a sponsorship for Archmere’s Alumni Golf & Tennis Outing. For those that have not yet contributed, we need your support. If you have already given….thank you. If you committed to giving but have not had a chance to yet…..please do so at your earliest convenience. If you have not yet committed to a $50 sponsorship yet…please do so…it is a great way to help those in need afford Archmere through the Legacy Fund. If you can’t donate $50 towards a sponsorship for any reason, please let me know and I will buy a sponsorship in your name.

I hope those in the Northeast can join us at the Golf/Tennis Outing on October 16th at DuPont CC. If you can’t get away during the day, you can still join us for the cocktails & dinner portion of the event starting at 6pm.

I hope everyone had an awesome summer and is settling back into the madness of work, kids sports and football season. We are just a month away from Archmere’s Alumni Golf & Tennis Outing and that means it is time again for me to ask you to commit just $50 towards a sponsorship for Archmere’s Alumni Golf & Tennis Outing (see attached). Proceeds from the event support the Archmere Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to relatives of alums attending Archmere. Fax, email or just pick up the phone and call Erin…her number is on the form. The process is simple and the sponsorship is tax deductible. There are higher levels of sponsorship if you wish to give more, but I am only asking you to commit $50 towards a basic sponsorship. Archmere is worth that much to us all.

To put $50 in perspective, here is my 2017 list of things I spent $50 on this summer: skim board, movie tickets, chicken fingers, socks, a massage, guitar lessons, Kind bars, haircuts, wine, beer, vodka (no I do NOT have a problem), whatever my wife buys from Ballard Designs, septic service, Wawa, lawn care, boat rental, tomatoes from the farmer’s market, flowers, pest control, Orthodontist, bowling, Amazon Prime, Sprinkle’s cupcakes, parking, jewelry, gelato, olive oil, a miniature statue of The David, rabbit supplies, a drone, airfare, gas, Uber, Netflix, kids soccer, kids volleyball, summer camps, mini-golf, sushi, John Mayer concert tix, moon bounce rental, a magician, Duck Donuts, soap, bottled water, vitamins, currency exchange, charcoal and a large inflatable Swan for the pool.

Archmere was certainly worth more than all of the above to us and my goal is to get 100% participation from the great class of 1988. If you can’t commit $50 towards a sponsorship for whatever reason, let me know and I will pledge a sponsorship in your name.
