Dear Robert, What do we do after an event as horrible as the tragedy in Las Vegas? What concrete actions can you and I take when we all feel helpless seeing these events played over and over on TV? As a legislator, I see firsthand the influence that interest groups like the NRA have on gun policy in our state. Common sense legislation is killed in subcommittee without a vote and without fanfare here in Virginia. Other than donating blood, the only way to change things at the state level and protect more Virginians from the kinds of violent attacks that keep occurring is to change the policy. To change the policy, we must change the policy makers in opposition to gun safety laws. Run Everywhere is trying to do just that… and we have limited time to do it. If you are as troubled as I am, then do something concrete. Will you call or email five of your friends and ask them to commit to vote for candidates who will stand up for common sense gun safety laws on November 7th?
