Attached is an invitation on behalf of Rick Stephens, Chairman of Global Midwest Alliance and Senior Vice President Human Resources & Administration, The Boeing Company, to a luncheon honoring The Honorable Ian H. Solomon, United States Executive Director to The World Bank. Mr. Solomon’s visit will allow for further understanding of the opportunities presented by The World Bank Group, in key sectors of growth in emerging global markets.
Mr. Solomon will also discuss the potential in working with The World Bank Private Sector Liaison Offices and the importance of this work in global strategy for both business and government. Global Midwest Alliance, the Midwest’s only Private Sector Liaison Office to The World Bank, was privileged to become the first PSLO in United States in January 2008, joining a network of over 100 offices in 81 countries. The Alliance, in working with Midwestern businesses, has been responsible for an 83% increase in number of contracts won by Midwestern firms.
