DO WE HAVE A DEAL? — GOP Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Budget Committee, signaled Thursday morning that Senate Republicans could work with the latest budget deal being worked out by Vice President Biden. “I’d like more, but, you know, really, this is really kind of small ball compared to the big issues like the debt limit – it’s a one-and-a-half-trillion-dollar deficit,” Cornyn said on MSNBC. “So this is just a little piece of the puzzle.” He said he hoped Biden is right that both sides are working off of the same agreed upon number of $33 billion, because people “want us to solve problems, and they don’t want the gamesmanship and business as usual.” Eric D.
