Matthew T. McGuire, Ph.D.Vice President, Institutional Marketing & Client Services Matthew participates in Ariel's new business development and client service in the institutional marketplace, focusing on the Northeast and the West Coast. Matthew joined Ariel from the Office of the State Comptroller, New York as an Investment Officer for the New York State Common Retirement Fund. In this capacity, he was responsible for key elements of investor affairs and corporate governance activities for the state's $105 billion public pension fund. Matthew serves on the Board of Directors of Public/Private Ventures, the Board of Advisors for Playing for Peace, Inc. and the Board of Directors for the Golden Apple Foundation. He graduated cum laude from Brown University with a BA degree in anthropology and earned a PhD in anthropology from Harvard University.
