Annie Zwaschka (Bethel, AK ’17-19) writes about the Bethel community and her decision to serve a second year there. Former JVs Ann Naffziger (Woodburn, OR ’95-97) and Sinclair Ceasar (Gresham, OR ’09-10) reflect on ways they continue to find and maintain community as FJVs. Kevin Glackin-Coley (Tacoma ’84-85) describes how he found community in Tacoma. View community photos from our 2018 Orientation, read about the new JV EnCorps community in Vancouver, WA, review the Annual Report, and read about milestones, births, and lives well-lived. Ending an Era With Camp Adams Seeking Ideas for a New Campsite for Orientation 2019 For over 30 years, we have hosted our Orientation at Camp Adams in Molalla, Oregon. This year, Camp Adams is shifting its focus to environmental restoration and, as a result, can no longer host us for our annual week-long JV Orientation in August. Do you know of a retreat space in the Portland area that can host 150-175 adults? If so, please contact JV Program Manager Sarah Jones, at sjones@jvcnorthwest.org or via phone at (503) 335-8202. AmeriCorps Stories of Service Check out our newly-released AmeriCorps PSA Across the country, AmeriCorps members are impacting their communities. JV AmeriCorps members assist with disaster relief efforts, help homeless senior citizens find housing, teach STEM at after-school programs, and share ways to prevent partner violence with teens. To find out more, view the newly released AmeriCorps PSA here! Article from JV EnCorps Spokane Community Celebrating founding member Fr. Pat O'Leary Fr.
