Let the office decline, for sure. But I don't see the harm in Beau reaching out and at least thanking him for thinking of him. Chuck T is one of the few people at msnbc who isn't a complete jerk, and he does seem to like Beau. He does more hits on the Nightly News than anyone else from msnbc, so it wouldn't be terrible to keep him on our good side.

> Hey guys, see below for a request from Chuckie Todd. My inclination is to decline. We probably shouldn't have Beau's first interview post-announcement with a national person like CTodd. Better to do something local first. Or else go big with a Robin Roberts or Savannah Gutherie or something. Thoughts? If we decide not to do this, I do think Beau should all Chuck and say thanks, but not this time. I don't want to blow him off with a staff decline.
