From the very first day of the O'Malley-Brown Administration, strengthening and growing Maryland's middle class has served as the North Star for every decision we make.

That's why, together, we've invested in schools, innovation, and infrastructure. The choices we've made have led to better results:

- We've recovered all of the jobs lost during the Bush Recession.
- We are the #1 state for median income and women-owned business.
- And for three straight years, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce--hardly a mouthpiece for the Maryland Democratic Party--has ranked us first in innovation and entrepreneurship.

These results don't happen by chance, they happen by choice.

But if Congress fails to fund the Highway Trust Fund, that could set us back and result in 700,000 jobs lost nationwide--more than the entire population of Baltimore.

Tell Congress: Save American jobs and vote to fund the construction and repair of our roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects across the country.

Tea Party Republicans would have millionaires pay LESS, invest LESS in education, CUT veterans' benefits and student loans, and REDUCE Social Security and Medicare coverage.

The serious question we have to ask each other is this: how much less do we believe would be good for the country?

But the truth is, the stronger we make our country, the more she gives back to our children and grandchildren.

That's why it's so important to invest in the infrastructure that is creating jobs and advancing our shared prosperity.
