Spoke to Salman at QIA. He said he and Mohammed love the deal and would be interested in investing personally. QIA however needs to put a minimum $100mm to work so the Counsyl deal is too small for them. They want to revisit Counsyl in a year and would be interested in leading a massive growth round at that time. A fund investment is still in play and we should push for a $100mm commitment from them which would also secure their ability to lead a growth round next year as well as access to our other directs. My plan is to reach out to Mohammed and offer him a personal investment oppty in this round as well as push for the fund commitment. Best, John Sent from my iPhone
