Interested in encouraging others to serve with JVC Northwest?
Jesuit Volunteer Corps (JVC) Northwest is seeking a former Jesuit Volunteer from
the Northwest be the next Recruiter, to conduct national recruiting of Jesuit Volunteers
for eight months of the year and assist in the promotion for JVC Northwest. The
JVC Northwest Recruiter works closely with the Recruitment and Marketing Manager
to build relationships with specific colleges and universities throughout the United
States. This position requires frequent travel and is based out of the JVC Northwest
office in Portland, Oregon. This position begins in August and goes through the
end of March (8 months of employment), with an extended break during the Christmas
season. The recruiter works a 40 hour work week.

JVC Northwest is seeking a person with a commitment to promoting the mission and
values of JVC Northwest, who is a Former Northwest Jesuit Volunteer with a desire
to tell his/her JV story. The most desirable candidate will have:


* excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
* ability to be collaborative, flexible, and able to adapt to changing circumstances
* ability to work independently and as part of a team
* proven public speaking skills and experience
* ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
* ability to encourage and empower others to serve.
