Dear Friends, Can you believe that we are already beginning the very last week of the school year? Where did the time fly? Before summer break begins, however, we still have three wonderful events to which you are invited. *We still need lots of parent volunteers for the World Expo on Monday. *Please contact *Hillary Thomas-Lake at htlake@ltlstrategies.com *if you can provide refreshments or help with setup/cleanup.** · *Ice Cream Social for Rising 7th Graders – Sunday, June 5th * · *Track Meet – Monday, June 6th * · *World Expo – Monday, June 6th* * * *Ice Cream Social for Rising 7th Grade Families **–** Sunday, June 5th * The Welcome Committee is sponsoring this very special event for the entire family. It’s a fabulous opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with others. New and returning families, with rising 7th grade students, will be gathering in the *Wetland Garden from 2-4:00pm *on *Sunday, June 5th.* In case of rain, we will be meeting in the Middle School lobby. Stop by to enjoy the ice cream and the conversation. Students new to the school will be participating in a scavenger hunt, so they’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the campus. If your student would like to serve as a guide or you would like to volunteer, please contact Co-Clerk of the Middle School Welcome Committee, Sung Hee Kim at sungheekim@comcast.net *5/6 Track Meet – Monday, June 6th * Monday morning is the 5/6 Track Meet. Students will be involved in a variety of track and PE activities between* **9:00am and 12:30pm.* Students should *come to school dressed for the Track Meet *and then *bring a nice outfit to change into for the World Expo,* which is Monday afternoon. When they go to PE for the Track Meet, they will take their Expo clothes down to the locker room and then will change into them after the Track Meet is over. This will mean that they will be wearing their Expo outfit for their afternoon classes. * * *World Expo **–** Monday, June 6th * Families of 6th grade students are invited to the Sixth Grade World Expo on *Monday, June 6th *from *4:00pm to 5:30pm.* Please plan to have your child stay after school that day, as students will be helping to set up for the Expo. Students will be provided with a snack and short break between 3:20-4:00pm. The Expos is a culmination of the work of all students from all their classes and is meant to celebrate the accomplishments and knowledge of our sixth graders. We’ll gather, first, in the new Meeting House. At 4:30pm, the event will move to the 2nd floor of the Middle School, where parents will be able to view some of the projects on which our children have been working.* We’ll need volunteers to provide refreshments for this gathering, and help with set-up/cleanup for the event. *Please contact Hillary Thomas-Lake at *htlake@ltlstrategies.com*, if you would like to help. When the event ends at 5:30pm, students should be prepared to take home all of their projects & items that were on display.
