Biographical Information

Isabella Cascarano is a member of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, and has been with the U.S. Department of Commerce since 1993. She is the newly assigned Senior Commercial Officer to the U.S. Embassy Kuwait City, Kuwait as of June 2011, having recently served as the Deputy Senior Commercial Officer in Cairo, Egypt. Her previous assignments include Principal Commercial Officer in Munich, Germany; Principal Commercial Officer in Guadalajara, Mexico; and International Trade Specialist/Director at the Denver US Export Assistance Center.

Before becoming a Foreign Commercial Service Officer, Ms. Cascarano worked at US&FCS Office of Domestic Operations as Project Manager of the U.S. Rural Export Initiative, and as Italy and Benelux Desk Officer in the International Trade Administration's Market Access and Compliance division.

Ms. Cascarano has a Masters Degree in Economics and Management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and a Bachelors Degree in International Economics from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She speaks German and Spanish, and studied Arabic at FSI.
