\u2022 Refunds will be made if a performance is cancelled but are not available under any other circumstances.
\u2022 Tickets may be exchanged but solely at the discretion of the Box Office Manager.
\u2022 The CBOI cannot accept liability for unused tickets in the event of circumstances beyond our control (eg extreme weather conditions).
\u2022 Due to copyright and safety issues the use of photographic, sound recording and mobile communications equipment is not permitted during performances.
\u2022 Every member of the audience, including children over 2 years , must be in possession of a valid ticket. Children under 2 years may be issued with a \u201cBabes in Arms\u201d ticket to sit on a parent/guardian\u2019s knee, all children over 2 years must have a seat purchased for them. Children under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
\u2022 Regardless of any age, anybody deemed to be disruptive to the audience may be asked to leave the auditorium (without refund).


CBOI Galway Pilot Programme

The CBOI has had a number of applications from young musicians in the West of Ireland. We feel that it is too great a commitment to ask you to travel to Dundalk every week for rehearsals and have decided to introduce new arrangements on a pilot basis for members travelling from the West.

ARRANGEMENTS:


1. An audition will be held with the CBOI Director and Conductor in Galway on SATURDAY 23RD JULY in the Carlton Hotel, Galway (formerly Days Inn Hotel). The purpose of the audition is only to determine your level of playing - access is guaranteed to all applicants. You should prepare 32 bars of any piece of music for your audition.

2. All applicants should have some orchestral or ensemble playing experience. If not, please be prepared to comment on your desire to join the CBOI during your audition.

3. You must attend the CBOI Summer Workshop (15th \u2013 18th August) and one rehearsal per month in Dundalk between September and January (rehearsal weekend date to be specified by CBOI). This will be co-ordinated on behalf of CBOI by Fiona Buckley, Tawnagh West, Co. Galway (0863467245) and group travel (e.g. car pools) to Dundalk will be encouraged where possible.

4. As there is a large volume of music to be learned, it is recommended that you work on the music by yourself and with your teacher between rehearsals in Dundalk.

5. A follow-up audition will take place in December/January to ensure that you have practiced the music to the level required by the CBOI Director and Conductor. The results of the audition will determine your place in the Orchestra for the February concerts. It is envisaged that everybody will secure their place.

6. You must participate in all rehearsals and concerts in February, and all concert tours.

7. All other regulations regarding performances apply.

From North, South, East and West Ireland participated in the CBOI's "Peace Proms" music education programme and performed with the CBOI in concert. Nineteen concerts were presented and attended by audiences in excess of twenty thousand.
