Subject: Nationals and housing...


All,

I hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to pass along a few details about potential housing that myself and others have found during our research. I think it would add to the experience if we could obtain housing in the same location. The girls would be able to hang out in between and after games. Hotels are not the route to take when doing this event. The most cost effective thing to do is to rent condos, townhouses, etc. There are a ton of websites that assist with the rental process and from my early research, there are 2 and 3 bedroom condos/townhouses available for under $100/night.

If cost does become a problem, there are possibilities of obtaining condos/townhouses that could hold two families, if there is anyone that would like to do that as well. These condos/townhouses will also allow us to minimize food costs as you can utilize the kitchens to prepare meals for the girls. In the past, we have also done team meals as a group, which also helped to minimize food costs.

All of these condos/townhouses are located within 5-10 mins of Disney as well.

I also would advice looking into travel down to Orlando. If any families are going to fly, purchasing tickets early is always best (as I am sure you all know).

I will continue to do more research, but I would like to have a place picked in within the next week to ensure availability as well.

Upon further review, I think these condo units are in a perfect location and offer some really nice amenities for all of us.

Trish has been in contact with the management company and I think we should move forward with reserving these units. If you have a specific request on condo size, please let me know as we can inform the management company, so that we have enough reserved.

In order to reserve the units, a deposit is required. As we get those details I will provide more information. Some of that information is below (in the blue font).

Trish: Thanks for your inquiry relative to condos for your team at Windsor Hills, just 2 miles from Disney. As explained on the phone, the exact condo at Windsor Hills will be assigned by our management company a few weeks before your arrival. This is done to insure maximum booking capacity of each condo and help keep the rates as low as possible. Therefore, we can not guarantee an exact condo and do not have exact photos but rather the photos on the website are only samples. Each condo is fully equipped but they are all decorated differently. The layout is the same for each condo and none are further then a 2 to 3 minute walk from the pool/clubhouse.
Below is a summary of your dates and the cost for 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom condos,assuming a stay of 7 nights starting July 31st. There are no town houses available for your dates.

Trish, please let us know as soon as possible if your team wants to book. We do not hold units without a deposit. To book each unit, we need a $10 per night deposit (i.e. for 7 nights we need a $70 deposit). We do not take a security deposit (a credit card needs to be provided at check-in in the event there is any damage to the unit). This $70 deposit will be deducted from the total amount due, with the balance due 35 days prior to your arrival. After we receive the deposit, we will email each person within 24 hours a confirmation along with a check-in information. We prefer that each person pay the deposit on line. In the comment section, please have them reference your name and indicate if they want a 2 or 3 bedroom condos and what dates they will want. The condos will be assigned on a first come basis.
