We are/have been mobilizing action in opposition to the Chafetz amendment (to eliminate Title II funding) and the Broun amendment (to eliminate funding for McGovern-Dole), including:

* Conference call this morning with 20 organizations to mobilize their membership via action alerts (calls/email), social media outreach, etc. (including Care, Catholic Relief Services, National Farmers Union, Save the Children, etc.)

* We are sending an updated action alert to our database; the action alert sent last night already generated over 1500 messages to the Hill

* Engaged Tony Hall & others to make calls/engage Members

* Working with McGovern & Emerson to disseminate their Dear Colleague on McGovern-Dole and coordinate action.

Any calls/additional action that you could undertake to engage Members of the House (republicans) to oppose/speak in opposition to the amendments would be appreciated. Thank you!

FYI, Boehner's office called to say that he would oppose the Chafetz amendment. Kingston has already spoken against this amendment.
