Hey man, thanks for calling back- I got stuck in the adult-supervision room
(boss over shoulder). Hoping you, Ron and I can meet-up tomorrow night, but
wanted to touch base with you first. So, the good news is that I got my
formal offer letter from Verisign. In the IT space, this is great
opportunity and there is, of course, a huge added benefit/ risk of having
one of my best friends as my supervisor (once-removed). Nevertheless, I did
not see this coming and it is definitely a diversion from the directions I
thought I might be headed in. In addition to seeking your advice on this
opportunity, I thought it was worth checking to see if you had any new ideas
or developments on the political side of job opportunities.

Jordan had 23yrs last night and I ended-up getting to talk with him for over
an hour. He's finally moving back to Georgetown (no more commuting to
Richmond). I keep feeling more and more grateful for his perspective and
experience. I only share this to say that he has reiterated my need to go
easier on myself, drop all this self-centered fear around money/ career/
etc., and trust in the greater plan a little more. He's also recommended
that if I need to keep talking to people about my neurotic concerns, it's
better than keeping the inside.

It has been great to be able to get in touch with you more these days. I
feel like you are back in the fold, so to speak. I always appreciate your
advice, but definitely want to make sure that I'm leaving the door open for
you to be able to share the pressures and fears you may be experiencing.
