Hunter, Below are four additional jobs I've applied to since my first e-mail to you on May 12th. *1. Dept. of Labor's Benefits Review Board (BRB): * Nancy S. Dolder is the BRB Chair, appointed in 2001 by Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao. I applied for the vacant attorney position. *2. Dept. of Labor's Office of the Solicitor: * I applied for the vacant General Attorney position within the Civil Rights and Labor Management Division. The Division is headed by the appointed Associate Solicitor, Katherine Bissell. M. Patricia Smith is the Solicitor. *3. Immigration & Customs Enforcement:* I applied for the vacant Attorney-Training position within ICE's Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA). Peter S. Vincent heads the OPLA as the Principal Legal Advisor. *4. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA):* I applied for the Attorney-Advisor vacancy within the Administrative and Technology Law Division of the Office of the Chief Counsel. It's an Excepted Service position. The FHWA Chief Counsel is Fred R. Wagner, and Deputy Chief Counsel is Tom Holian. The Dept. of Transportation application website states that I've been deemed eligible for GS-11, and that my application has been referred to the selecting official. (This vacancy closed on 5/23, while the others close on 6/9 or 6/10.) Thank you, again, Hunter. I'll be applying to a couple more this week and will let you know once I have done so. Also, I've been speaking with some friends who work on the Hill and am now considering Senate office and committee jobs. I'm really only interested in counsel positions, however I do understand that prior experience on the Hill -- something I lack -- is generally required. Any thoughts or tips on this would be much appreciated. This is new territory for me and I'm eager to learn more. I've already sent my resume to Senator Coons' and Senator Carper's office and plan on following up this week. On a final note, I'll be attending the June 9th DCVLP training and am looking forward to it!
