We may be able to cover this if none of you can. Do we know who they're giving the award to?

Val: First,Jack's toast Saturday night was just great. Having gone through similar emotions 2 times myself,it brought back a flood of fond memories. Second, I mentioned that the 1st annual Beau Biden Victims Services Award given by the Criminal Justice Council( of which I'm chairperson) will be given to the Delaware Capital Police Dept. on Friday October 28,2016 at the Ballmoor Hotel in Rehoboth. Any possibility a Biden family representative could be there to give out the award? Third, when you go to Holy Angels to speak with those little catholic girls remind them to keep the "Holy Ghost" between them and their boyfriends when they dance!!!! Thanks

Val: Always a pleasure to see you. As a follow up to what I was saying yesterday, I'm the chairperson for our state Criminal Justice Council. It's enabled by statute and the Council directs @$9million a year(give or take) from the Fed(i.e.: Byrne Grant $ etc.) to numerous criminal justice providers statewide(eg: we fund some of Ashley's shop). By statute, the Atty. General is one of the 24 CJC members. Beau was a member during his tenure. The Executive Director of our State CJC,Christian Kervick, came to me with an idea to mimic the Nat'l Criminal Justice Assoc.'s annual recognition award for excellence in the CJ field of providers. We'd like to replicate the annual recognition award here in De. and name it in Beau's honor. There are many victim service programs etc. that I think need some local recognition. The CJC has its planning day 11/6/15 and I'd like to propose the award in Beau's name. I'm not doing that unless the family is comfortable with that proposal. Hence,
could you consider giving me some direction as to whether that proposal would be acceptable to the family I'd appreciate it. Regards. Thanks
Jim
