I am pleased to inform you that last night Ambassador Nikki Haley officially nominated former South Carolina Governor David Beasley to be the next Executive Director of WFP. The nomination was presented to the UN Secretary General. I am confident that David Beasley will be an excellent Executive Director. We are working with the Administration and David Beasley in support of this nomination. It is essential that an American continue to run WFP.
