So you both have it in front of you a few comments on the draft agreement: 1) Equity Distribution Trust: This was a trust set up by Hunter and Beau to receive legal payments from cases that they both brought to another law firm. The family attorney, Mel Monzack, set this up and he said that a) he doesn’t have any formal signed agreements that he knows of and b) he doesn’t expect any more fees to be paid into the trust. As an example of the type of income this has generated in past years I believe there was a payment of ~$5,000 in 2014, nothing in 2015 and less than $5,000 in 2016. The Trust isn’t being shut down just in case but any significant income has long since passed. 2) Life Insurance: It is a universal life policy with only 15 years of premiums guaranteed. In year 16 those premiums skyrocket. Hunter should have the ability to get another policy with the same coverage and beneficiaries if the premiums can be lowered. 3) In 20 (d), the background on the bills listed: Giannini - for girls’ dental work Debbie - for Kathleen SMARTherapy - for Maisy Dr. Wake - for Finnegan Dermatology Surgery Center - for Kathleen Dream Garden Landscaping - for Loughboro House Wayne Heating - for Lake House Morgan Wingate - accountant/joint personal tax prep fees Lourdes - amount promised to housekeeper to pay her back taxes 4) Re: taxes in 21 (a), the section on who receives the refund will likely be moot as it would likely be applied to back taxes but you may want to clarify that it be applied to back taxes first. I have not addressed spousal support (and therefore could not include a child support figure). And as you and I discussed previously, we can spend the days between now and Tuesday, trying to hammer out agreement on the remaining issues. In large measure, the attached document was prepared to ensure that we have a good working document that we can edit appropriately as we develop a mutually agreed upon settlement. > > I welcome your edits. > > Sarah > > > Sarah E.
