Dear Friend,

Next week I am journeying on the Acela Wednesday to DC to attend a fundraiser for my friend, Josh Gottheimer. I don't ordinarily travel three hours to attend events for New Jersey leaders but Josh is a special case.

Josh is an increasingly rare moderate in Congress ... both pro-business yet socially progressive. His race was one of three Democratic upsets over Republican incumbents in having beaten 14-year incumbent, Scott Garrett. He has hit the ground running establishing key relationships on both sides of the aisle. Now we need to quickly build up his war chest so that we discourage any potential challengers. If we learned anything in this last election, it is that we cannot start too early. Please consider joining me next Wednesday.
