For well over two decades, Leann has worked tirelessly to uplift women across industries and borders -- whether it was founding Iowa’s Women in Public Policy, helping pass legislation to benefit Drake University’s Middleton Center for Children’s Rights, or celebrating women of all ages through the Women of Innovation awards.

Leann has fought tirelessly for equal representation and welcoming women to the table:


Founded Iowa’s Women in Public Policy to bring together bipartisan leadership, mentors and resources to support women candidates, and build the pipeline of women running campaigns from local office and city council to the federal level


Created the annual Women of Innovation Awards -- a celebration that recognizes women of all ages who are innovators, role models, and leaders in technology, science and engineering


Leann knows that advancement and opportunities must be open to all women and families:


Served as an adjunct professor at Drake University, working with second-year law students to draft legislation that would benefit the Middleton Children’s Right Center causes


Started small business incubator StartupCity Spencer and the Riverfront Farmers Market to give entrepreneurs, especially women-run businesses, a starting platform to grow


It’s time for us to elect a leader to represent Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District that empowers and celebrates women of all ages and backgrounds. Let’s help Leann beat Steve King in November!
