Hey guys,


As part of the India Site Consolidation project for NCR they have asked us
to do a basic Political Risk Assessment impacting Hyderabad. Basically the
Telangana region (which contains Hyderabad) within the State of Andhra
Pradesh is clamoring about seceding and setting up their own State. The
issue is real and seems to be gaining momentum. NCR has 400+ people in
Hyderabad and may choose to consolidate all their non-manufacturing
operations there, but they are concerned about the situation and if fact
their Steering Committee is 50:50 on Hyderabad, which is the leading city,
because of this concern.


So this seems to be a text book case of a company wanting a read on
political risk in order to aid in the process of making an international
investment decision.


I am not sure where you are with Vide, but this would seem to be right in
their wheelhouse (India was on the short list of countries to start with -
English is one of the official languages). It would give "Analytics" a real
client to work with and then a real case study / credential to talk with
other clients about. And given the political nature of the recent security
events in India/Pakistan, I'd think Vide would have some data/analytics on
the region already in place vs starting from scratch with Australia as we
did last fall which took a few months to create.


There is no significant additional money for this from NCR and we'd have to
do it rather quickly (2-3 weeks). This may be a good catalyst to get
something going.


Think about it and give me a quick no if that's the case so we can move to
another method to complete the request.
