Wisconsin is about a lot more than a governor trying to extract a few bucks from teachers to fill a budget hole. It's only one example of a national trend. The steps the extremist Republicans and their powerful friends are taking will ultimately put even more political power in the hands of corporations and further erode the rights of America's working men and women. The Citizens United ruling was the first step. Gov. Walker's union-busting bill was the second. Similar efforts are underway in Florida, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, and other states – and Republicans in Washington – are sure to follow.

But we're fighting back. Citizens ARE uniting, and protests are spreading. In Wisconsin and other states, the people who teach our kids and keep our streets safe are standing together and saying "no." The middle class has drawn the line and taken a stand, and they need to know that Democrats stand with them. Will you add your name?
