Hi Hunter,

I hope all is well and I apologize if I am adding to your list of requests! I know that you and I have talked about my recent political appointment at the Peace Corps and I know that your father and Jill are big supporters of the agency and the Peace Corps mission. I was recently in a meeting where it was made known to me that your father and Jill will be in Moldova the week of March 7th as part of a bigger trip that includes trip Finland, Russia and Moldova.

The note I got about this was as follows: Peace Corps has apparently been attempting to get on the Vice President or Dr. Biden’s schedule in order to have a photo opportunity for two of our currently serving volunteers. The two volunteers being considered are extending for a third year of service. This would be a tremendous opportunity to draw attention to the fantastic work Peace Corps is doing in Moldova.

My understanding is that this would be a very quick meet and greet with a photo and that the Volunteers would be brought to your father at the State department in Moldova so there would be no additional travel. I know that our WH liaison, Elisa Montoya, has been working with his scheduler but if there is anything else you think would help move this along please let me know. I hear that Moldova gets very few official visits so this is a really big deal to the international development community in that country.

Maybe I will see you at the Dwoskins for the sixth grade dinner!
