Shelter Days are Over for Abby And it's all thanks to you! Abby had been at the Lynchburg Humane Society for over 800 days! No, that's not a typo. This sweet girl found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own and was consistently overlooked by adopters. As she got older, it added a reason adopters might not take a chance on her. But because of our generous sponsors, we were able to bring Abby to Crumbs and Whiskers where she spends her days socializing with guests and winning fans. She loves to nap next to people and meet new people. There's no reason Abby won't meet her forever family in no time at the cat cafe! Meet Our Must Have Animals Our weekly wish list of dogs and cats to save! Each week we seek to rescue new animals from our rural shelter partners before they face euthanasia due to space. It is essential that we secure sponsorship for these animals in order to cover their initial vetting and transport costs. We had great success from our wonderful Facebook supporters, but the new algorithm has drastically hurt our ability to reach out! To ensure we can continue to say YES to these puppies, dogs, kittens and cats, each week we will share with you some of our must have animals in hopes you will consider donating to their sponsor costs.
