Any objectiveobserver of the Middle East knows that the real threat to the region is Trumpand Netanyahu, two felons in waiting. Together they could cause a war thatcould last for decades. Trump, who knows nothing and does not know he knowsnothing, and does not care. Netanyahu taking advantage of that ignorance tocontinue his quarter century prediction about Iran developing a nuclear bomb.It is well to remember that in a 2007 the combined United States intelligenceservices concluded "We judge with high confidence that in the fall of2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program.” That is the key. There is ahuge difference between a nuclear weapons program and a nuclear program. DidIran have a nuclear program after 2003? Of course they did, but it was not aweapons program. With careful use of strength and diplomacy, the Obama/Bidenadministration crafted the Iran nuclear deal. In 2015, Iran agreed todenuclearize, dismantle their program and allow inspections from soup to nuts.From every indication, by US government and international bodies, they havekept their word. Isn’t this what Trump hopes to achieve with North Korea? Yethe calls the Iran deal “worst ever”? How disgraceful. How very sad forAmerica's word and image around the world.
