Dear crew parents: We have a possible issue with transportation of the girls on Thursday mid-day up to the Stotesbury regatta. We had received initial permission from Sidwell to use two of the small buses, which along with one parent van (mine) was sufficient to get the team up to Philadelphia. Unfortunately we found out this week that may be a new prohibition imposed by the school or the school's insurer that prohibits the buses being used more than 50 miles from the school. Hiring a big coach for three days with a driver is prohibitively expensive. Renting the smaller buses and supplying our own drivers has problems as well. As we wrestle with the issue, I am polling parents regarding whether anyone would be willing to drive a minivan and/or SUV that seats at least 4-5 rowers up to Philadelphia on Thursday, instead of driving up on your own Friday morning. We need about 6 total drivers, plus the coaches, most likely. Please get back to me regarding whether you might be willing/able to do this if you can by this Friday! Thanks Cindy
