I hope you are well. We have been planning the event for some time and the naming issue was a recent decision so I'm sorry that I we are picking you up in mid course.

The event is currently planned for Saturday, March 19. There will be a ceremony in the historic waiting room on the 2nd floor of the station for invited guests only and there will be several speakers including the Governor, Senator Carper, the Mayor, Amtrak officials and former Congressman Mike Castle. As you can imagine, we need to get the invitations out shortly so I would appreciate it if you could let us know whether or not the VP will be attending or if we have to look for another date if he wants to come but his schedule does not permit the 19th. We have not announced this publicly but as soon as we tell the group that we intend to name the station after the VP we will need a communications plan.

Last but not least, would you let me know if you prefer it to be The Joseph Biden Railroad station or if you prefer The Joe Biden Railroad station? Please let me know if he would like to attend and if March 19 works or who in your office I should contact.
