Dear Friends,

At Collection today, I communicated Anne Renninger’s message (attached) to
the Upper School students. I will follow up with an email so any students
who were not present at Collection will also be informed. There will be
serious consequences to any member of the community who is caught stealing.

In addition, I informed them that there have been a rash of armed robberies
recently in the Tenleytown area. The robbers appear to be in different
size groups, anywhere from one to five. Recommendations from the
2ndDistrict Police Watch Commander were shared with the students as
well:

· Do not walk alone.

· Do not walk with earphones.

· Be aware of your surroundings.

· Stay on main paths.

· Don’t make expensive objects (computers, smart phones, watches,
etc.) visible.

· Do not carry large sums of money.

Our efforts to make our community as safe and secure as possible are
