Dear 12th grade parents:

Plans are underway for the 2012 Sidwell Friends Prom. Last year we had
record attendance at the prom, 97% of juniors and seniors attended. We
hope to get close to 100% participation this year. Over the last few
years, the PA and the student prom committee has done a tremendous job
making the prom inclusive, fun, safe and easy for everyone to attend- a
true end of year celebration.

To help us got to 100% participation we wanted to give you the date of the
prom early so you can make plans for your junior or senior to be available
to attend the prom. The prom this year will be Friday, May 25th, 2012.
This is the Friday night of Memorial Day Weekend. We are thrilled with
this date. May 25th is after all Sidwell sports have ended, after the
Spring Musical, after AP exams and one week before exams start. We know
some people may have travel plans for this weekend, but we hope with
advanced notice you will be able to leave early Saturday morning.

As we get closer we will need volunteers and some help setting up but for
now mark, Friday, May 25th on the calendar.
