Hi Michael. A few things about our Summit: We moved the date from May to June 14th because the President will be traveling during the May dates. I'm enthusiastically helping the White House and Civic Nation, a non-profit organization that is aiding with the organizing and outreach.

The Summit will celebrate issues important to women - which is pretty wide ranging! Our website, www.theunitedstateofwomen.org<http://www.theunitedstateofwomen.org> can explain more about the issues. We'll have the President, Vice President and First Lady speaking at the Summit. We will celebrate the great work that has been done, like the Violence Against Women Act and the Lilly Ledbetter Act, and also talking about the work that still needs to be done. A big undertaking but we are excited. We think it will be a great. We have 5000 people who will join us at the Summit.

The evening before the Summit we are hoping to celebrate the summit with a concert. I'm actually heading into the White House now for a meeting regarding the concert. I'll reach out to you afterward with update.

Kathleen is running the The United State of Women Summit concert for Michele. They have talent but it looks like Live nation may be pulling out (mainly b/c they have crazy expectations re Michele). I know they have been talking to Craig off and on but was hoping you may be able to give me some guidance on how to get CAA invested . Below is a summary of the two back to back events.
About the summit: The White House Council on Women and Girls, together with the Department of State, the Department of Labor, the Aspen Institute and Civic Nation, are hosting a Summit on Women and Girls at the Washington Convention Center on May 23, 2016<x-apple-data-detectors://6>.

About the concert: On the eve of The United State of Women Summit, we're bringing together a progressive line up of entertainers to celebrate with a concert at The Kennedy Center. The concert will feature a celebrity host and six musical artists. This event will serve as a rallying point to celebrate what we've already accomplished and all that we're going to do for women and girls.
