I hope this note finds you well now that Spring is upon us.

In the coming weeks Vestagen will launch an awareness campaign to draw greater attention to the role that healthcare worker attire plays in transmitting pathogens. Our goal is to bring national attention to the potential risks posed by mobile soft surface contamination to healthcare personnel and patients, and to drive action and change.

The "Keep the Coat" campaign was developed on the heels of new guidance on healthcare personnel attire issued by the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) in January which calls into question the role of the white coat.

We believe that what care providers wear during clinical practice does matter. Ideally what you wear should protect you, your patients and your family.

There are lots of ways you can help "Keep the Coat."


1. Endorse: Send me an email of endorsement for "Keep the Coat" that we can use in our campaign materials (e.g. press release). The quote would come from you and/or your organization and could, for example, explain why you believe the issue of soft surface contamination is important, how a lab coat can protect you, or why your patients like seeing their doctor in a white coat.


2.
