Ray Rice - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Rice had 25 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Browns. He also added two catches on two targets for six yards. Rice now has three touchdowns in the past three games and has eclipsed 100 total yards in five games this season. Unfortunately, he's trending downward in the passing game, combining for only 18 receiving yards in the last two games, despite catching seven passes. He'll line up next week against a Raiders' defense that was 11th against the run heading into Week 9.


Cam Newton - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Newton completed 13-of-23 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 37 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Redskins. Newton's performance Sunday was just what the doctor ordered for the Panthers to break their five game losing streak. He had no turnovers and was able to move the ball relatively well, despite missing his No. 2 wide receiver, Brandon LaFell (concussion). Owners will be pleased by Newton's fourth quarter sneak that resulted in a touchdown and will hope he can build on this strong performance next week against the Broncos.


Larry Fitzgerald - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Fitzgerald has six catches on 12 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Packers. The 12 targets were an encouraging sign, although fantasy owners surely hoped for a few more catches given the opportunities. Unfortunately, that's the biggest knock against Fitzgerald for fantasy purposes: he's an elite wideout with a weak quarterback, so his upside is always somewhat limited. Fantasy owners will have to find a different option next week, as Fitzgerald and the Cardinals have a bye in Week 10.


Trent Richardson - (Tue, Nov 6, 2012)
Richardson had his finger heavily wrapped in an ACE bandage Tuesday, as he is currently dealing with a nail issue, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer. The good news is that Richardson said the finger was not broken. The injury sounds minor by nature, but keep an eye on him in practice this week to make sure.


Trent Richardson - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Richardson (ribs) had 105 rushing yards on 25 carries and 31 receiving yards on six catches Sunday against the Ravens. Richardson's ribs don't seem to be slowing him down at all, as he became the first rookie running back since 1998 to rush for at least 100 yards against the Ravens. The team has a bye next week, so fantasy owners will have to look for an alternative.


Trent Richardson - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Richardson (chest/ribs) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens. As expected, Richardson will continue to play through his chest/rib issue against a Ravens' defense that is allowing a generous 142.9 rushing yards per game to date.

Scouts say Richardson reminds them of Adrian Peterson, and he shouldn't have much competitions for carries in Cleveland.


Frank Gore - (Wed, Nov 7, 2012)
Gore (hand) was a full participant at Wednesday's practice, Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com reports. Coming off the bye week, Gore appears over the bruised ribs he suffered Oct. 18 against Seattle, and this hand ailment doesn't sound especially concerning. He should be just fine for his normal workload Sunday.


Frank Gore - (Wed, Nov 7, 2012)
While Gore's 656 yards ranks him just eighth in the NFL, his 5.5 yards per carry ranks him third in the league. With so many 100-plus yard performances during the 49ers' bye in Week 9, including Doug Martin's 251-yard game and Adrian Peterson's 182-yarder, Gore has slipped in the overall for the time being. He'll be looking to reclaim his place amongst the league leaders as he takes on a Rams defense that has allowed an average of 105.5 rushing yards per game with eight rushing touchdowns. Still, he's locked into the RB1 category.

Jeremy Maclin - (Tue, Nov 6, 2012)
Maclin caught two passes for 28 yards against New Orleans on Monday. Maclin's production is drowning in the mess that is the Philadelphia passing game, and it's simply very difficult to be optimistic at this point. The good news, though, is that he can't get much worse than 356 yards and three scores he's posted in seven games.


Vernon Davis - (Wed, Nov 7, 2012)
Davis has just five catches for 71 yards over his last three games and will be looking to get back on track during Week 10 against the Rams' 17th-ranked pass defense. The Rams defense has allowed an average of 62.9 yards per game to opposing tight ends and were burnt by New England's Rob Gronkowski for 147 yards and two touchdowns back in Week 8. Davis' biggest obstacles have been defensive schemes designed to shut him down and offensive coordinator Greg Roman's willingness to use one of his best assets in the passing game as a mere decoy to open up coverage underneath for other receivers. In a recent interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, quarterback Alex Smith discussed how he's never seen defenses place such an emphasis on taking away Davis. "I see a lot of teams trying to take away the big play in the passing game from Vernon," Smith said. "I don't know if there's another big-play tight end quite like him. I know there's a lot of tight ends that have a lot of catches and have a lot of production, but they don't necessarily have the explosion that he has. But in taking that away, it's opened up a lot underneath for other guys." In two games against the Rams last season, Davis caught a total of 13 passes for 150 yards but no touchdowns.


Tony Gonzalez - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Gonzalez caught four balls for 36 yards Sunday against the Cowboys. Gonzalez remains at 99 career touchdowns, but we believe he'll top triple-digits in the near future. He has a good matchup against the Saints in Week 10, who have struggled against the pass all season.

Romo strained his back on the final play of Sunday's loss to the Falcons but says he should be fine for Week 10, the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports. "I tweaked it a little bit on the last play," Romo said. "I'll be alright." He should be safe to use next weekend.

Tony Romo - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Romo completed 25-of-35 passes for 321 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Falcons. Romo played turnover-free football, but the offense struggled to put up points all night. Fantasy owners will be happy with Romo's production, but the loss dropped the Cowboys to 3-5 and put a damper on their playoff hopes. Romo will look to avoid another loss Week 10 against the division-rival Eagles.


Michael Bush - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Bush had 10 carries for 16 yards and caught one pass for 17 yards Sunday against the Titans. Even in a blowout, Bush was not able to do much in this game. While his touches were close to Matt Forte's, it was only due to the lopsided score. He is not much more than a handcuff, especially with the Texans and 49ers up next for Chicago.

Denarius Moore - (Mon, Nov 5, 2012)
Moore caught four passes for 66 yards in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. Moore found paydirt in each of his previous three games, but the Buccaneers did a decent job containing him Sunday. Moore is averaging nearly 10 fantasy points per game in standard-scoring leagues, so he is worth using in most formats in Week 10, despite a tough matchup against the Ravens.


Alex Green - (Sun, Nov 4, 2012)
Green had 11 carries for 53 rushing yards and two catches on four targets for 25 receiving yards Sunday against the Cardinals. Despite getting the reassurance that he was the Packers' starting running back, Green finished with six fewer carries than James Starks on Sunday. Green finished with a better YPC average, but fantasy owners may feel a little worried after Starks' performance. There likely won't be a clear decision any time soon, as the Packers have a bye in Week 10, so Green's fantasy owners will have to look for an alternative regardless.


Kai Forbath - (Mon, Nov 5, 2012)
Forbath was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts Sunday versus Carolina and is now a perfect 8-of-8 on the season, including 6-for-6 from beyond 40 yards. Forbath's only mistake was a missed extra point in Week 8.


Daniel Thomas - (Mon, Nov 5, 2012)
Thomas had six carries for 37 yards to go along with two receptions for 25 yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts, according to the Palm Beach Post's Ben Volin. What may be of more importance to fantasy owners is that for the second consecutive week, Thomas played more snaps than Reggie Bush -- 33 to 28 -- versus 41 to 20 last week.
