Our most critical fundraising deadline yet ends tonight at midnight. It’s the last chance for us to reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 and show the enthusiasm behind this campaign.

But Tom Smith is spending millions to flood the airways with deceptive attack ads distorting Bob Casey’s record. We have to fight back.

Pennsylvanians need to know the truth about the candidates. That this vote isn’t about party lines or partisan politics – it’s a choice between sending another divisive voice to Washington or reelecting a leader like Bob who isn’t afraid to make the tough choices needed to help create good middle class jobs and grow the economy.

But Bob needs our help to win this November and keep fighting for Pennsylvanians in the Senate. With Tom Smith readying his checkbook to fund a barrage of false attacks to distract from his Tea Party record, it’s going to take a massive pouring of support to ensure Bob gets his message out to Pennsylvanian voters.

Smith’s hoping his deep pockets will help his baseless attacks against Bob stick, but the claims just don’t add up.

While Smith’s been traveling the Commonwealth lending his support to the Tea Party’s divisive agenda, Bob has spent the past 6 years working across the aisle to find the common ground and deliver real results. And while Smith applauded Paul Ryan’s outrageous budget plan that would end Medicare as we know it and supported a plan to privatize Social Security - Bob’s put Pennsylvania’s middle class first by fighting to protect Medicare, create good jobs here in the U.S and end tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.

But the road to victory isn’t going to be easy. Smith’s already spent at least $7 million of his own fortune on his campaign, and special interests and Tea Party groups have already weighed in with their financial support.

Let’s show them that no onslaught of false attack ads can break this campaign’s momentum.
