<p>Dear 5/6 Parents,</p>
<p>I hope the school year is off to a great start for your child and for you! It was heartening to witness the excitement and good cheer from all of you on Back to School Night. As Sally mentioned, I have taken on the role of All School Diversity Coordinator.<span> </span>Sally also introduced our two Middle School Diversity Coordinators, Kimberly Clarkson and Leslie Segal. A huge part of our role is to work closely with the Parents Association Diversity Clerks. The Upper School and Lower School PA Diversity committees are operating with co-clerks, so we are seeking the same set up in Middle School. I’m reaching out to invite you to take on the responsibility of co-clerk of the Middle School Diversity Committee. You would be in fine company with our current clerk, Ingrid Mazique (mom of Jason Mazique ’17), and sharing the responsibility would make this work achievable and fulfilling. Because Ingrid is an 8<sup>th</sup> grade parent, it would be ideal to have her partner with a parent in 5/6 so we can adequately address needs across the board in Middle School. Please consider joining us for this important work of diversity that stands as a pillar of the school. </p>
