5K. We have less than one month to go -- the 13th Annual Scott Mackler 5K will
be held on Sunday, October 28th at noon at Temple Beth El in Newark, DE.

for the Scott A. Mackler, MD, PhD Assistive Technology Fund (see explanation below),
making sure every ALS patient can afford the expensive technology needed to lead
a productive life. And because of you, no ALS patient in our region has ever gone
without critical communication technology for want of money.

We are the biggest 5K in Delaware, so our fundraising should be the biggest as well.

Awards of $500 are given to the groups (by category) that raise the most money,

It provides essential but expensive assistive technology to ALS patients who cannot
afford it.
Because of this program and your donations, there has never been an ALS patient
in the greater Philadelphia area that has gone without communicative technology

About The Scott Mackler 5K
It started in 1999, right after Scott was diagnosed with ALS. Anyone who's run it
in the past can attest to it being one of the toughest 5K's around, which is why
many people choose to take it light and walk. We have a full buffet after the run
and awards for top finishers, runners and walkers.
