Yesterday afternoon, my family and I headed down to South Carolina to attend my daughter Tara's college graduation.

While we're here, I am going to spend some time helping this state's next governor, Democrat Vincent Sheheen.

I've visited a few states in recent months where Democrats are fighting to reclaim governors' offices in 2014. In each one, I've shared the story of us, of Maryland, and America.

I talk about how we're growing and strengthening the middle class in Maryland -- how we've raised our minimum wage to $10.10/hr, expanded Pre-K, created jobs, and protected our environment.

I've also talked about how we made Maryland a more inclusive place -- how we passed marriage equality, enacted the Maryland DREAM Act, and put in place some of the toughest gun safety measures in the country.

I'm going to do quite a bit more traveling this summer, sharing our story and supporting like-minded Democrats in states with important races. I hope I can count on you to support that work with a $5 contribution to my PAC today.

Control of the Senate is up-for-grabs, and governors' offices from Maine to California hang in the balance. I'm going to do everything I can to help elect Democrats across the country, up and down the ticket.
